We’re still seeing plenty of 80s temps here in Alabama, but Starbucks already released their Pumpkin Spice Latte. That means it’s fall, right?

1. Old Baker Farm—Harpersville

Old Baker Farm in Harpersville is a picturesque pumpkin patch located not too far from Birmingham. They have special events during their month-long pumpkin patch season, including the First Full Weekend, Cowboy Day, American History Weekend and Festival Weekend. Plus, add this one to your holiday bucket list—it’s a Christmas tree farm, too!

2. Tate Farms—Meridianville

Growing up in North Alabama, it wasn’t fall without a visit to Tate Farms. This history-rich, family-owned farm isn’t just pumpkins, though. They have corn cribs, hay rides, a play barn, huge jumping pillows, slides, a carousel and more. Don’t miss Pumpkin Destruction Day on October 28—it’s as fun as it sounds.

3. McGee Farm—Florence

Since 1978, the Shoals area has enjoyed autumn trips to McGee Farm. Their pumpkin patch is, of course, the main attraction, but they also have wagon rides, a jumping pillow and a farm kitchen. The best part? Admission is completely free to the pumpkin patch, with attractions being a minimal cost.

4. Bennett Farms—Heflin

Bennett Farms in Heflin is a fourth-generation farm, and it’s truly a one-stop shop for fall time activities. They have a country store, farm animals, hay maze, slides, corn crib, tree house, zip lines, hayrides, wildflower field and, of course, a pumpkin patch. Plus, there’s live music every Saturday in October. Bennett Farms truly is fun for the whole family.

5. Cornfield County Farms—Wetumpka

Cornfield County Farms is a classic pumpkin patch on beautiful, sprawling Alabama acreage. This farm has not one but two mazes—one corn and one sunflower. Are you thinking what I’m thinking? Photo ops galore!

6. Down on the Farm—Rainesville

At Down on the Farm, the kids will be entertained for hours. There’s a pumpkin patch, hay rides, a massive corn maze, corn pits, a cow train and more. The snack bar for parents is the perfect place to relax in the Alabama fall weather while watching the kids play.

7. Penton Farms—Verbena

Penton Farms in Verbena has over 50 varieties of pumpkins, as well as mums, hay bales, corn stalks and more. They have a ton of classic farm activities, plus unique additions like the basketball grain cart and human hamster wheels. Not to mention, their sunflower field is stunning.
