It’s no doubt, Morgan Wallen and Luke Combs are the two biggest names in country music right now, and they keep making history.

For the first time in over four decades, the top two spots on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart are both country songs. Morgan Wallen’s “Last Night” still sits at number one, where its been for 12 weeks. And Luke Combs’ cover of Tracy Chapman’s “Fast Car” moved from number three up to number two this week.

Thanks to “Last Night” and “Fast Car,” country hits infuse the chart’s top two positions simultaneously for the first time in over 42 years.
