Thousands of customers are without power in Alabama as severe storms crossed the state Wednesday.
The main threats include high wind gusts over 70 mph, hail to the size of baseballs and tornadoes in central and south Alabama.
As of 2 p.m., Alabama Power reported more than 10,000 customers without power in the state.
There are more than 500 outages in the following counties:
Barbour – 1,119
Blount – 2,862
Jefferson – 735
Lee – 614
Marion – 547
Walker – 1,066
Winston – 1,586
