-Birmingham Folk Fest
What: Enjoy a day of exciting live music at Avondale Amphitheater. There will be a Children’s Pavilion with face painting, dancing and music showcases along with vendor tents from local artists.

-Birmingham Taco Fest
What: Birmingham Taco Fest returns this year with taco vendors and food trucks, locally crafted beverages, music, children’s activities and local art. Attendees can even vote for the Best Taco.

-Darter Fest
What: The 10th annual Darter Festival at Avondale Brewery celebrates the conservation of the darters that reside in the Turkey Creek Nature Preserve. The organizer, the Southern Environmental Center, has teamed up with NewTerra Compost and World Centric, in making this event completely waste-free for the first time ever.
