It would never happen! Of course not! …but let’s just say the paranormal made it’s way to Earth, a new report shows those of us here in Alabama might not be doomed.

It may never happen, but some areas are better prepared for close encounters, according to new research. To find out which U.S. state is most ready to handle an alien invasion, njcasino.com looked at factors including population density, number of UFO sightings, landscape and defense.

They created a survivability score for every state and it turns out, Virginia is the state best prepared for an E.T. invasion.
Virginia earns a 8.04 out of 10 survivability score, in part because its “larger military force per capita” makes it safest from flying saucers. Coming in second is Georgia, which has fewer UFO sightings than Virginia and less law enforcement.

Alabama ranked in the top 10 most prepared states at number nine, just before Wisconsin at number 10.

On the flip side, Nevada has the lowest survivability score – 4.53 out of 10, making it the worst state for an alien attack. Not only do they have a high volume of UFO sights, Nevada doesn’t have many caves and forests to hide in, the research finds.
