Kimberly Perry is back in country music, and her first single is “If I Die Young Pt. 2,” the continuation of her hit with The Band Perry, “If I Die Young”
She recently revealed that the song was partly inspired by a painful period in her life when she discovered she had miscarried
“So in writing the second verse… I would love to set this intention that there’s a baby coming, a healthy baby…and it felt like it really held hands with the original version,” Perry said. “It reflects all of my growth from the past decade,” the singer/songwriter shared.
