Ed Sheeran has been making headlines recently with rumors that he’s considering a move to country music. While he’s best known for hits like “Shape of You” and “Thinking Out Loud,” he’s also dabbled in country before with his song “South of the Border.”
Sheeran is set to perform tonight on the ACM Awards in Dallas, and fans are eagerly anticipating what he has in store. Sheeran is known for his friendship with Taylor Swift, and has expressed admiration for country artist Luke Combs, saying that he’s “one of the best songwriters out there.”
In a recent interview with Billboard magazine at ACM Award rehearsals, Sheeran revealed that he’s open to transitioning into country music and that he’s been working on new music that has a country feel to it. Whether he fully embraces the genre or not, Sheeran’s talent and versatility are sure to shine through.
