Jimmie Allen stopped by The Kelly Clarkson Show to have some fun and chat with Kelly this week. As we know, there’s more to Jimmie Allen than just country music. He’s ventured into other genre’s before, but it turns out he’s also quite the musical fan!
“So I’m a huge musical theater fan…so before every show when I’m on my bus getting ready, I listen and I sing the song ‘Popular’ from ‘Wicked'” – and then he backed it up, singing a few bars from the Broadway hit.
Seems like he’s giving Ariana Grande a run for her money! Grande is playing Glinda in the upcoming Wicked film.
Even more interesting, Jimmie said one of his dreams was to play Aaron Burr in “Hamilton” – saying he did musical theater all through high school, and he listens to Broadway soundtracks constantly while he’s driving. Other country stars have done Broadway – no reason why Jimmie Allen’s dream can’t come true.
