Ron Foster is a “know it all”! And in this case, that IS NOT an insult! You see, he knows all there is to know about Southern Gospel music. That’s because he’s been around it all of his life.
Ron grew up in Columbiana, Alabama, a small town of about 4,000 residents located in Shelby County, where he still resides today. Growing up the son of a minister, some of Ron-s favorite childhood memories are of the many gospel concerts he attended throughout the years. Some of his favorite groups during those early years included The Chuck Wagon Gang, The Inspirations, The Dixie Echoes, just to name a few.
During the early 90-s, Ron traveled throughout the southeast singing the gospel music he loves so much. It was during that time that he also answered the call as a music minister, and served several churches in that capacity over the next several years, all while still working at Birmingham, Alabama area radio stations playing gospel music.
WZZK has been home for Ron and his Sunday Morning Gospel Jubilee program for almost 12 years. He and his wife, Kim, have one son, Austin, who is completing his freshman year at the University of Mobile.
The Sunday Morning Gospel Jubilee can be heard each Sunday morning from 5:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.
