New Country Friday

New Country Friday

It’s Friday, the weekend is here, and so is New Country! I’ve rounded up all my new favorites out this week for you to check out. Let’s get into it:

Luke Combs – Love You Anyway
He’s teased this one quite a bit on social media. Off his upcoming album Gettin’ Old, this one seems like its inspired by Luke’s wife, Nicole. It tells the story of a love so strong that words can’t even do it justice. Basically, it’s gonna melt your heart, in true Luke Combs fashion.

Sam Hunt – Walmart
The first new one from Sam in a while, this one is actually inspired by a true story of him seeing a former girlfriend’s mom in a Walmart. In a way that only Sam can, he tells about the feelings of guilt he felt over the way the relationship ended and wonders if he should talk to her. This is good ol’ country story telling and I am HERE FOR IT.

Shania Twain – Giddy Up!
This new album Queen of Me from Shania truly feels like a comeback of all comebacks. It’s a little bit pop, a little bit country and everything we’ve come to love about Queen Shania. If you can listen to this one and not dance, then we have nothing in common.

Dierks Bentley ft. Ashley McBryde – Cowboy Boots
What would any cowboy/girl be without their boots?? Dierks and Ashley know they answer is nowhere, which is where this song comes in. This song feels like real, traditional country and Ashley and Dierks’ harmonies are the perfect soundtrack.

Chase Rice – Bench Seat
This is easily Chase’s most powerful song. Off his new album “I Hate Cowboys & All Dogs Go to Hell,” this is the best his voice has ever sounded. He sings from the perspective of a dog and his relationship with his human, and, man, you’re gonna get misty-eyed.
