So I don't really watch too much CMT. I don't pay for cable, so I tend to miss out on a lot of the cool artist spotlights that the do. One of my favorites though, is CMT Crossroads. If you aren't familiar, that is where they take country artists, and team them up with artist from pop, rock, indie, rap whatever, and they do a performance together. Sometimes they are awesome and sometimes they are less than stellar.

I was so happy I cam across this video of Dierks Bentley and One Republic performing "Counting Stars"  Their voices are so different, but they blend them together and you can see the passion and fire in both performers and this performance has more energy than anything I can see in a while.  Check it out! It's so worth it. Have a great day.    -Tess

I guess you could say Taylor Swift may have some new song writing material.   TMZ reports, a judge granted Swift and 3 of her family members a restraining order against Timothy Sweet, who thinks he is married to Taylor.  He has sent her several strange and threatening messages through letters emails and social media.

In 1989 Marty McFly (Micheal J Fox) and Dr. Emmett Brown (Christopher Lloyd) introduced the world to the idea a hoverboard in Back to the Future Part 2.  Now, nearly 25 years later the world sees the first 'real' hoverboard from none other than Christopher Lloyd and Tony Hawk.
In other time news don't forget that this weekend is Daylight Savings Time.  Sunday at 2am officially.  That is all the time I have. (haha see what I did there)

Well big news if you are a 90’s country fan like me, the group Blackhawk has just announced they will be releasing a new album.  They haven't said when this new album will be released yet.  The group was originally a trio but in 1999 Van Stephenson was diagnosed with melanoma and lost his battle with the disease in 2001.  Band mates Henry Paul and Dave Robbins say they are thrilled to be back.

Earlier this week many celebrated what would have been the 82nd birthday for one of country musics icons, Jonny Cash.

It has been a crazy busy asy few weeks but I'm going to try to keep all the latest country news coming at ya.

Well Jason Aldean and Miranda Lambert were going back and forth on Twitter recently after Jason started trying to recruit people for his wiffle ball team.  Well after some tweeting between the two they revealed that Miranda would join him for three tour dates-July 18th in Cleveland, July 19 in Cincinnati, and July 26 in Pittsburgh.  Jason partnered with Major League Baseball for the Burn It Down Tour, which includes Florida-Georgia Line, and Tyler Farr on most of the tour dates.  The tour will travel to 45 cities and include several baseball stadiums.

Tim McGraw will join Jimmy Fallon for his first week as the new host of "The Tonight Show."  Tim will be the musical guset for Wednesday the 19th's show which will also feature Bradley Cooper.

And there is or was a little bit of controversy.  Now Justin Moore has been around for five years and has released several singles that have had great success.  So why is he still up for a New Artist awards?  Well the powers that be say he is still within the guide lines for the nomination of New Artist of the Year.  So be sure to watch how things unfold at this year's ACM Awards LIVE from Las Vegas on Sunday, April 6th at 7PM CST.

Forget Miami, forget Beverly Hills and the rest of them. You know for sure that country music is becoming a force to be reckoned with when the wives of Music City have their own show.  TNT's 'Private Lives of Nashville Wives' is soon to be not so private when it premiers at 9pm next Monday right after Dallas!  I've never gotten into any of the other "real housewives" series, but this one I'm definitely going to watch.  With my obsession with country music and the fact that I would love to live in Nashville, this show is going to be satisfying a lot of those cravings...or vices. It will be interesting to see what the driven, dramatic, successful and most of all southern ladies get into!

Here's the trailer for the season premier on TNT.  What do you think?

Well I tried to post some of this last night and I either didn't hit save or there was a server snow storm, either is possible.  Well Frankie Ballard and Eric Church both had albums come out this week.  Frankie's new album is called "Sunshine & Whiskey" and "The Outsidrs" from Eric Church was named USA Today's album off the week.  Eric's current single "Give Me Back My Hometown," and his previous single and title track on the album "The Outsiders," along with several others.

Also this week Garth Brooks will be in court.  An I know what you're thinking, is he a baby daddy?  Is broke? No.  He and his former production company are trying to get back money that was loaned to a former employee who claims it was a gift.  Well only time will tell what actually happened but hopefully the truth comes out in the end.

For all of you team Blake fans The Voice is just two short weeks away and there is no telling how this season will go.  Usher and Shakira are back as we'll as Adam Levine of Maroon 5 and of course the man with the most Voice trophies, Blake Shelton.  Blake has a busy schedule coming up not only being a coach on The Voice but also co hosting the 49th ACM Awards with Luke Bryan.  Blake is on some cities Country Mega Ticket, but not Birmingham's unfortunately.  Be sure to check out Blake's new single on WZZK "Doin' What She Like."
