So, just WHO is this man you hear bright and early on your radio each and every Sunday morning? His name is Ron Foster, and he’s passionate about Southern Gospel music. Ron was born and raised in Shelby County, Alabama. The son of a minister, Ron spent more time in church than anywhere else in his growing up years. And those church services always included wonderful gospel music. Ron has loved Southern Gospel music for as long as he can remember. He has fond memories of not only seeing his favorite Southern Gospel groups perform "live and in person", but also of listening to them on the radio. So it makes perfect sense that he’s the on-air host of the Sunday Morning Gospel Jubilee on 104.7 WZZK.
Ron has been nominated three times as one of the Top 5 Favorite DJ’s in America by The Singing News Fan Awards, as well as being the recipient of The Singing News’ Golden Mic Award.
Not only is Ron the voice behind the microphone on the Sunday Morning Gospel Jubilee, but you can also see Ron perform Southern Gospel music in concerts in the North Central Alabama area. In addition, Ron and his family also promote Southern Gospel concerts.
Ron and his bride of 25 years, Kim, have a 17 year old son named Austin, and a cat named Perry. They make their home in Shelby County, Alabama.
