The Shelby County Arts Council announces our April Art Exhibit featuring artists Bruce Andrews and Lennie Jones. Both artists are musicians who share a love of playing the blues. Lennie was once a touring, performing blues musician, once an inmate serving time, once a federal agent catching poachers and now a successful folk art painter. Bruce Andrews is a working musician with 2blu and the Lucky Stiffs and also an active visual artist. The two come together with a common interest and fascination with blues, roots and Americana music. The art in the show will reflect the mutual interest! Opening Reception is Saturday, April 6, 2013 from 2:00-5:00 Exhibit runs through the end of April 2013. Gallery Hours are Monday - Thursday, 10am-5pm Additional entertainment by 2blue and the Lucky Stiffs will follow the opening reception in our adjacent performance space. Visit our website for tickets.
